Gloria Castellanos Álvarez (16 September 1905? – 21 September 2016) was a Dominican Republic supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her claimed age were verified, she would have been the oldest person ever from Dominican Republic.
Gloria Castellanos Alvarez claimed to have been born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, on 16 September 1905.
She married a poet, Francisco Alvarez Almanzar, with whom he had three children: the journalist Francisco Alvarez Castellanos (born 1932), the lawyer Juan Alvarez Castellanos and the lawyer Rafael Alvarez Castellanos (deceased).
She has been a lifelong teacher, teaching in public and private schools in various parts of the country. She was a personal assistant to educator Ercilia Pepín, niece of Father Castellanos and a relative of Gregorio Luperon's paternal side.
Gloria Castellanos Alvarez died in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on 21 September 2016, at the claimed age of 111 years, 5 days.
