Giuseppa "Josephine" Diprima-Patinella (21 February 1907 – 20 February 2017) was an Italian-American centenarian.
Giuseppa Patinella was born in Lercara Friddi, Sicily, Italy on 21 February 1907. Her parents were Salvatore and Rose DiPrima. She had 5 siblings: Jack, Salvatore, Prudy, Joseph, and Mary.
She came to America at the age of fourteen with her mother and two brothers, Jack and Salvatore. They lived in Brooklyn, New York. She was very talented in sewing and learned fast that she could make a living at this occupation. Ten years later the rest of her family came to America.
Josephine married Frank Patinella on 6 March 1938. The couple had three daughters: Dorothy, Rose, and Joan. She had eight grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Patinella died in La Mesa, California, USA on 20 February 2017 at the age of 109 years, 365 days, only one day before what would have been her 110th birthday. She is the only person to die at 109 years, 365 days.
