Giovanni Vincenzo Vattuone (26 May 1912 – 17 February 2021) was an Italian centenarian who was one of the oldest victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Vattuone was born on 26 May 1912 in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. He worked in a delicatessen until the age of 65. After retiring, he took up playing billiards. At the age of 103, he was featured on the website of the Italian Sports Billiards Federation. Vattuone voted in the 1946 Italian institutional referendum, and in April 2017, at the age of 104, he voted in the Democratic Party leadership election.

In May 2020, Vattuone suffered a fall and broke his femur. He underwent surgery and spent nine days in hospital, but was discharged a few days before his 108th birthday. Vattuone died from COVID-19 in Genoa, Liguria, Italy on 17 February 2021. At the age of 108 years, 267 days, he was one of the oldest victims of the coronavirus pandemic.
