Gerontology Wiki was founded in November 2007 by supercentenarian trackers Ben Meyers and Keith Cody. The wiki discusses people who attained a high age,more particularly those known as the oldest people in the world.
Meyers (operator of the "110 Club" website) apparently made his only contributions in December 2007,and Cody (operator of the "Supercentenarian Central" website) has made only one contribution,amending his own biography,since 2008. Cody brought Robert Young into the administrators' group.
Louis Epstein,who does wikiedits from IP 12.144.5.2,has made a substantial number of edits here,the first in months,in July 2008.He left Wikipedia at the start of 2006 after disputes over the format and content of the Supercentenarian articles he had originated there.Young for the most part was a counter-party in these disputes,though both have hda run-ins with Wikipedia bureaucracy and have worked together on supercentenarian cases for about 10 years.Mr. Epstein will continue to contribute here if this wiki's officialdom do not obstruct his tendencies to move the format and content of articles towards what he was not allowed to maintain on Wikipedia...otherwise,he will leave.
