George Rene Francis (June 6, 1896-December 27,2008), was the joint second-oldest man in the world, sharing that distinction with Henry Allingham;they were the longest-lived pair of men born the same day. Francis was also the oldest living American male.
He was succeeded as oldest man in the United States by Walter Breuning,who later succeeded Allingham as oldest in the world.
