Geoffrey "Geoff" Walker Patrick (27 March 1916 – 7 August 2022) was a British centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Wales at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Geoffrey Patrick was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, UK on 27 March 1916.
He served in the Royal Army Service Corps, spending three and a half years of the was on the front line of the North African Campaign. He worked as a dispatch motorcycle rider during the Second World War.
After the Second World War, Patrick settled in Llay, where later he married Jean in late May 1947. They celebrated the 74th wedding anniversary in late May 2021.
Later, he worked as a skilled joiner, eventually becoming a foreman and then a manager with Holland, Hannen & Cubitts which was taken over by Tarmac Group Ltd in 1976.
He became the oldest known living man in Wales, following the death of 106-year-old William Pike on 26 November 2020.
Geoffrey Patrick lived with his wife Jean at their home in Llay, Wrexham, Wales, UK, where he died on 7 August 2022, at the age of 106 years, 133 days.
