Gaudenzio Nobili (25 January 1912 – 14 November 2021), known as "Nini", was an Italian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Italy, following the death of Antonino Turturici until his death. But he was the second-oldest known living man born in Italy, after Delio Venturotti of Brazil.

Biography[]

Gaudenzio Nobili was born in Fontaneto d'Agogna, Piedmont, Italy on 25 January 1912, the youngest of seven siblings. He worked as a carpenter and did several artistic works with wood.

He married a woman called Carla. The couple had one daughter: Giampaola. His wife died in 2000.

At the age of more 100, he still driving. At the age of 104, he still managed to take long walks with the help of a cane. In summer 2018, he suffered an infection has weakened him.

He became the oldest known living person in Piedmont, following the death of 109-year-old Vincenzina Proteo on 27 February 2021. He became the oldest known living man in Italy, following the death of 109-year-old Antonino Turturici (who was just seven days older) on 23 September 2021.

He lived with his daughter Giampaola and his son-in-law Luigi.

Gaudenzio Nobili died in Fontaneto d'Agogna, Piedmont, Italy on 14 November 2021 at the age of 109 years, 293 days.
