Francisco Fernandes de Oliveira (15 September 1904 − 23 February 2011) was an Brazilian centenarian who was one of the oldest known living men in Brazil at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Francisco Fernandes de Oliveira was born in Parana, Brasil on 15 September 1904 (claimed 15 February 1900). At some point in his youth, he was adopted by a Brazilian family. He grew up on a farm. He never lived in an urban area and never attended a school. At some point in his life, he married a woman named Virginia, who died 33 years before him.

In February 2010, he celebrated his claimed 110th birthday. He was affectionately known as "Vo Chico". At the end of his life, he suffered from deafness and prostate cancer. At the time of his death, all of his 7 children were still alive, aged between 62 and 80. He also had 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Francisco Fernandes de Oliveira died in Carambei, Parana, Brasil on 23 February 2011 at the age of 106 years, 161 days (claimed 111 years, 8 days).
