Francisca Maria de Jesus (14 September 1908? – 5 May 2020), known as "Dona Chiquinha" was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Francisca de Jesus claimed to have been born in Brotas de Macaubas, Bahia, Brazil on 14 September 1908. Her parents were Alipio Barbosa and Maria Luzia de Jesus. She had eight siblings.

She married Eupidio Rodrigues and had six children: Jose, Marivaldo, Vital Rodrigues dos Santos, Nivea Maria, Maria Elena e Nilza Maria de Jesus.

There was also a history of longevity in her family: her sister Ana Rita lived to be 102, her sister Isaura lived be 100 and her cousin Juca Rodrigues Barauna (died 2017) lived to be 105.

Francisca de Jesus died of natural causes in Brotas de Macaubas, Bahia, Brazil on 5 May 2020 at the claimed age of 111 years, 234 days. At time of her death, she had 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
