Florence Pannell (26 December 1868 – 20 October 1980) was a British supercentenarian whose age is currently validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest living person in the UK when she died.

Biography

Florence Pannell was born in England, UK, on 26 December 1868. As an adult, she set up a beauty care business and worked for many years in Paris and London.

In a 1977 interview, Florence said that the biggest change she's seen was "everything".

Following the death of 110-year old Lilias Williams on 12 February 1979, Pannell, then 110, became the UK's oldest living person.

Florence Pannell died in Kensington, England, UK, on 20 October 1980 at the age of 111 years, 299 days. 110-year old Jeanetta Thomas became the oldest living person in the UK.
