Michiko Yamazaki (Japanese: 山崎通子; 28 July 1905 – 31 October 2019) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Michiko Yamazaki was born in the village of Minamiminowa, Japan on 28 July 1905, the second-oldest of four daughters. She lived in the same place as of September 2019, according to the MHLW, Japan.
Yamazaki died in Minamiminowa, Nagano Prefecture, Japan on 31 October 2019 at the age of 114 years, 95 days. She was the third-oldest known living person in Japan at the time of her death, behind Kane Tanaka and Shigeyo Nakachi. She also outlived Kame Ganeko, who was born a few months earlier and also died in October.
Yamazaki may have been the oldest known person ever from Nagano Prefecture.
