Mabel Isola Hyde (née Coughenour; 23 April 1864? – 13 August 1975) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Mabel was born as Mabel Isola Coughenour in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio, USA to parents William and Mary Coughenour. The family later relocated to Illinois and Kansas. She married Eugene W. Hyde on 19 May 1887, in McPherson County, Kansas. The couple had at least three children (three sons). The family was part of the opening of the Oklahoma Territory in the late 1880s.

In later life, she moved to Fresno, California. At the age of 99, she used to go fishing salmon in the Sacramento River. She was a big fan of the baseball team San Francisco Giants.

Hyde died in Fresno, California, USA on 13 August 1975, at the claimed age of 111 years, 112 days.
