Dorothy Plauman (née Bogardus; 13 October 1903 – 23 February 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Dorothy Plauman was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA on 13 October 1903. Her parents were George and Alma Bogardus. She had one sister Alma Hea.
She married Roy Plauman in 1929. The couple had three children: Sue Olauman (deceased), Charles Olauman (1938–2008) and David Plauman. She was widowed in 1972.
She moved to Rochester in 1935. She worked for both the Rochester Clarion and the Utica Sentinal as a reporter.
Dorothy Plauman died in Rochester, Michigan, USA on 23 February 2015 at the age of 111 years, 133 days. She is survived by one son David Plauman, one daughter-in-law Doris Plauman, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
