Ernest Charles Pusey (5 May 1895 – 19 November 2006) was a validated American supercentenarian. He is the oldest validated man ever born in the District of Columbia.

Biography[]

Ernest Pusey was born in Washington, D.C., USA, on 5 May 1895. In 1917, Pusey joined the Navy. He left the Navy shortly after World War I ended. Pusey married a woman named Catherine in 1923 and got a job at General Motors in 1926. He retired in 1958. Following Catherine's death, Pusey moved to Florida. There, he married his second wife, Ida. Pusey became a supercentenarian in 2005.

Ernest Pusey died in Brandenton, Florida, on 19 November 2006 at the age of 111 years, 198 days. At the time of his death, he was the second-oldest known living man in the United States, behind Moses Hardy.
