Evelyn Kleine (born 11 July 1907) is an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She has been the oldest known living person in Minnesota, USA, since the death of Lena Dick on 27 February 2018.
Biography
Evelyn Kleine was born on 11 July 1907 Northeast Minneapolis, USA as a daughter of Anna and Gus Holm. The family then moved to Columbia Heights when she was 8. She has lived in Chippewa Falls,Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and in Florida but was back at age 70, living at Heights Manor and then Parkview Villa when it was first built.
She outlived two husbands and had no children.
Kleine, whose father reached 96 and her grandfather 94, says the secret to a long life is “sometimes in the attitude”. She also advises, “Just behave! No drinking, smoking. Clean living! Ignore trouble.”
She currently lives in St. Anthony, Minnesota, USA, at the age of 116 years, 282 days.
