Eunice Sanborn (Nee Lyons) (July 20, 1896- January 31, 2011), was an American supercentenarian. After Neva Morris died on April 6, 2010, Sanborn became the oldest verified living person in the United States.
Biography
Eunice Sanborn was born in Louisiana, a daughter of Augustus and Varina Lyons. She was married thrice. She had a daughter, Dorothy, with her first husband, Joe Orchin. Dorothy died in 2005, at the age of 89. Eunice Sanborn was the part-founder of Love's Lookout. Sanborn died in Texas in January 31, 2011, at the age of 114.
Recognition
Sanborn has been recognized as the 43rd oldest person in the history, and the oldest verified person from the state of Louisiana.
