Ellen Palmer (4 September 1827 – 2 December 1935) was a British centenarian who was the oldest known living person in the United Kingdom at the time of her death.
Biography
Ellen Palmer was born in the United Kingdom on 4 September 1827. She became the oldest person in the country aged 105 on 11 June 1933, after the death of 108-year-old Eliza Roff of Plymouth. Palmer held the title for over two years until her death on 2 December 1935 at the age of 108 years, 80 days. Her successor as the oldest person in the United Kingdom was Rachel MacArthur (1827 – 1936).
