Baron Eduard Oleg Alexandrowitsch von Falz-Fein (14 September 1912 – 17 November 2018) was an Ukrainian-born (then Russian Empire) centenarian, businessman, journalist, public figure, and sportsman from Liechtenstein.

Biography

Eduard von Falz-Fein served as a "sports diplomat" who initiated the Olympic movement in Liechtenstein and vice president of Liechtenstein Olympic Committee in the mid-1930s. In 1951 and from 1953 to 1973, he was President of the Liechtenstein Cycling Association. He was born in Gavrilovka, Kherson Oblast. Falz-Fein funded much of the research on the identification of the Romanov family remains.


Baron von Falz-Fein turned 100 in September 2012 and was, at the time of his death, the oldest living person in Liechtenstein. He has been the oldest living person in Liechtenstein since the death of Hedwig Beck-Sele on 16 March 2014, and became the oldest person ever in Liechtenstein on 8 September 2017.

Baron von Falz-Fein died in a house fire on 17 November 2018, in Liechtenstein, at the age of 106 years, 64 days.
