Ed Lee Bankhead (11 March 1883? - 26 November 2002) was an American longevity claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Ed Lee Bankhead claimed to have been born in Mississippi, USA on 11 March 1883 but was more likely born on 11 March 1899.
Bankhead married twice and had 12 children between both marriages. At the time of his death he had 52 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, 39 great-great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-great grandchildren.
He had no birth certificate and the only document that listed him as 119 was his social security card. His WW1 draft registration showed him as being born in 1899. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1988 and lived there until 2000 when he moved back to Mississippi.
Ed Lee Bankhead died in Mississippi, USA on 26 November 2002 at the claimed age of 119 years, 260 days but was more likely 103 years, 260 days.
