In September 2018, she was reported as the 3rd-oldest living person in Fukuoka, behind Kane Tanaka and Haruno Yamashita. At that time, she lived in Kasuga, Fukuoka, Japan. Yoshizawa was last confirmed alive on 1 September 2018, at the age of 111 years, 268 days.
