Celina Fernandez Solorzano de Pacheco (22 January 1906 – 16 October 2016) was a Costa Rican supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Celina was born in Alajuela, Costa Rica on 22 January 1906 to Benjamin Fernandez and Maria Luisa Fernandez Solorzano. Her birth name was Maria Celina de Jesus Fernandez Solorzano. In 1928, she married Antonio Pacheco Perez. They had three children: Oscar, Maria Cecilia and Francisco Antonio. She worked as a teacher.
On her 109th birthday, she was able to walk with the help of a walker. Her daughter, Cecilia, passed away two months prior to Celina's 109th birthday.
Celina passed away at her home in Alajuela, Costa Rica on 16 October 2016 at the age of 110 years, 268 days.
