Catherine Lawrence, known as "Sister Madeleine", (8 December 1902 – 16 June 2013) was a validated Australian supercentenarian. [1][2]
Biography
Lawrence was born in Victoria, Australia on 8 December 1902. Lawrence became a Sister of Mercy at the age of 17, and worked as a teacher and carer at schools and orphanages in Goulburn and surrounding areas. She later retired to a convent in Young.
Lawrence died in Young, New South Wales, Australia on 16 June 2013 at the age of 110 years, 190 days.
