Bessie Porter (née Kelley; 31 January 1905 – 25 July 2015) was an American supercentenarian who is currently pending.

Biography

Bessie Kelley was born in Birmingham, Alabama, USA on 31 January 1905. She was one of eight children of Sylvester Kelley and Ella Kelley. Bessie moved to Michigan at age 18.

She married Ray Porter when she was 23 years old. The couple started a successful small business called Porter’s Moving and Express and enjoyed its success. They never had their own children, but enjoyed showering their love and financial success with their siblings, nieces and nephews. Couple enjoyed traveling around the world and had a particular fondness for Paris.

On her 110th birthday, she still had living sister, Eldora Johnson, who was 93 at that time (now deceased). Also she had brother, Thomas N. Kelly (1913–2019), who died at the age of 105. Bessie Porter died in Detroit, Michigan, USA, on 25 July 2015, at the age of 110 years, 175 days.
