Bertha van Hasselt (24 November 1901 – 16 October 2009) was a Dutch centenarian.
Biography
Bertha Laurentia Maria Coleta van Hasselt was born in Roosendaal, Netherlands, on 24 November 1901. She was the oldest person in the Netherlands for only three days between 13 October 2009 and her death on 16 October 2009,[1] at the age of 107 years, 326 days. She inherited the title after the death of 112-year-old Grietje Jansen-Anker of Vlissingen,[2] making her the first oldest living person in the Netherlands born in the 20th century. She was born and lived in Roosendaal until age 98 and moved to a Breda nursing home in 2000. After her death, 107-year-old Wijtske van Dijk-Meindersma became the oldest person in the Netherlands.[3]
