Bertha Belle Harris (née Thompson) (3 January 1902 – 3 March 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known person in Texas, USA when she died.
Bertha Harris was born Bertha Belle Thompson in Friendship, Adams County, Wisconsin, USA on 3 January 1902. She married William Harris in 1922 and had two children with him, named William Harris Jr. and Betty Lou Harris (later Van Sickle). The family later moved to Lancing, Michigan, and Bertha's children grew up there.
Bertha retired from her job in 1960, and moved with her family to Mesa, Arizona. In 1992, she moved to Dallas, Texas. She was a Christian Science Practitioner for over 40 years. Bertha's husband, both of her children, two of her grandchildren and two of her great-grandchildren all preceded her in death.
Harris died on 3 March 2015 in Richardson, Dallas, Texas, USA, at the age of 113 years, 59 days. She is the oldest known person ever born in Wisconsin, breaking the record set by Anna Balsiger in 2014. She was survived by her two remaining grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
