Bakhyt Abigova (Kazakh: Бахыт Абигова; 1 January 1909? – fl.7 March 2020) was a Kazakh supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Abigova claimed to have been born in the village of Karatobe, West Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan (then Russian Empire), on 1 January 1909. She was the third child and the only daughter in her family. Her father and older brother died when she was very young. Shortly after the formation of the Soviet Union, she settled in Bashkiria (present-day Bashkortostan) with her husband. She gave birth to 14 (or 15) children. In the 1960s, they moved back to Kazakhstan where she worked on a collective farm. Her husband died in 1993 at the age of 93.

In the mid-2000s, she moved from Burlinsky District (Russia) to Aktobe. In September 2017, she had 35 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. As of March 2020, only 4 of her children were still alive, the oldest being 82 years old, and the youngest about to turn 65.

Abigova was last known to be alive on 7 March 2020 at the claimed age of 111 years, 66 days. At the time, she lived in Aktobe, Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan. Her youngest daughter, Nursulu, lived close by.
