Antonio Sassone (10 June 1908 – 11 May 2017) was an Italian-born Argentinian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Argentina at time of his death.
Antonio Sassone was born in Montefalcone di Val Fortore, Campania, Italy on 10 June 1908.
In 1949, he moved to Temperley, Argentina with his 14-year-old daughter. In 1954, he was reunited with the entire family (wife and three daughters), except the eldest daughter who stayed in Europe. His wife died in the 1980s.
As of June 2016, he had five children (including Juan Sassone (aged 74)), 14 grandchildren (including Fernando Sassone (aged 22)), 12 great-grandchildren (including Micaela Filpro (aged 22)), three great-great-grandchildren, and a fourth who was on the way.
Antonio Sassone died in Temperley, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina on 11 May 2017 at the age of 108 years, 335 days.
