Anne-Marie Papail (née Gautrais; born 14 June 1909) is a French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Papail was born in Epiniac, Ille-et-Vilaine, France, on 14 June 1909. She worked as a waitress in the Higourdais inn in Epiniac. At the age of 32, she married a farmer from La Boussac. She owned a farm with her husband, who died about 20 years prior to her 110th birthday. They had 4 children. Since the age of 92, she lives with her daughter in La Boussac.
In April 2019, Papail was the subject of a "France 3" television report that presented her as the oldest living Breton person. Papail celebrated her 110th birthday in June 2019. On 16 June 2019, she was visited by the mayor of La Boussac, Odile Mabile. When asked about the secret of her longevity, she said: never excess, eat the farm products and drink a little cider every day. At that time, she had 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Papail currently lives in La Boussac, Ille-et-Vilaine, France at the age of 111 years, 221 days.
