Anna Garrett was born in Sparta, Georgia on 30 July 1908 and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1922. In her 108th birthday, she had seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She also had one sister, Gertrina Ellerson, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Her sister Helen Taylor died in 2007 at the age of 84.

Biography
