Alice Amelia Tomlinson (neé Goldsmith; 25 May 1911 – 5 April 2019) was an English centenarian who at the time of her death, she was the oldest person from Isle of Wight. She was the great-aunt of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
Alice Amelia Tomlinson was born as Alice Amelia Goldsmith on 25 May 1911 in England, UK to Stephen Charles Goldsmith and Edith Chandler. Her brother, Ronald Goldsmith (1931-2003) was the father of Carole Middleton and grandfather of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. She married William Tomlinson in 1929. After Second World War, her husband set up a haulage company. She died on 5 April 2019 at the age of 107 years, 315 days. She had never met her famous great-niece. She is survived by two daughters Patricia Charman and Linda Burman and their families.
