Ali Adam "Disco" Alibe (1902? - fl. 4 August 2017) was a Maldivian longevity claimant.
Biography[]
Ali Alibe claimed that he was born in Shaviyani Atoll’s Foakaidhoo island, Maldives in 1902. He first got married when he was around 20 years old. Through that marriage, he had eight children. After that, he married twice but didn’t have children. He said that since his last wife’s death even it must have been half a century. Although the eldest 2 children died, the eldest of the 6 children who survived, Sitthi, was also 80 years old. From the 6 children, he has got grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A total of 100 children. He was an active workman. He raised his 6 kids with money earned from fishing and toddy tapping. Back in the days on a sailboat he went to Malé and sold items.
Ali Alibe was last reported to be alive on 4 August 2017 at the claimed age of 115 years.[1] If his age is true, he could be oldest known man ever from Maldives.
