Aldegundes Pereira de Castro (3 March 1903 - 10 October 2014) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is currently not validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Aldegundes Pereira de Castro claimed to have been born in the state of Bahia, Brazil, on 3 March 1903. Throughout his life, he rendered services to Santa Mariense society in the cultural, economic and religious areas for many years, serving in seven terms as councilor, when they were still unpaid. He had the initiative to draft bills, where he set the date June 26 as a holiday and birthday of Santa Maria da Vitória. And also projects that created the city's flag and coat of arms. Died at 111 years old in 2014 in Santa Maria da Vitória, Bahia, Brazil
