Agay Lethro (1899? – fl. 26 December 2008) was a centenarian from Bhutan.
Biography[]
Agay Lethro was born in Bhutan in 1899. He vividly remembered how he traveled on foot to Thimphu where he worked on the construction of the Tashichhodzong and the construction of Thimphu-Phuentsholing highway. As a young man he married a woman from Berti village in Zhemgang. Unfortunately they did not have any children. His wife died at the age of 70.
Agay Lethro was last reported to be alive on 26 December 2008 at the age of 109 years when he lived in Jigmechoeling, Sarpang, Bhutan with his paternal grand son. He was reported to be oldest living man in Bhutan then.[1]
